Though both projects will involve Mulliez family “flagship” brands, Sefi-Intrafor will be working on two very different sites.
Mulliez Group has confirmed it is setting up shop in the shadow of Stade Pierre Mauroy (Villeneuve d’Ascq-Lezennes) with a first contract signed on a project to develop land located on Boulevard de Tournai in Villeneuve d’Ascq-Lezennes (Nord), creating a tertiary business park and a new Leroy Merlin store for client Leroy Merlin/Aventim.
Work is set to get underway in early June and the planned works will involve filling old underground limestone quarries, including major earthworks, backfilling, compaction, and filling with fine sand-cement mortar. The project is on an approx. 99,000m² plot.
The second project (in Lezennes - very close nearby) concerns the development of land located between Boulevard de Tournai, Rue Moulin de Lezennes, and Avenue de l’Avenir (Lezennes, Nord).
The works will include earthworks in the centre of the 27,000m² plot, backfill grouting around the edges, and backfilling in the centre.
The project is part of a programme to build a real-estate complex including Kiabi’s future global headquarters, a set of business premises (stores, offices, etc.), an F&B complex, and a car park for client SCI Lezennes Immo.
