LINE 16: TBM LAUNCH SHAFT COMPLETED

Sefi-Intrafor has been working on line 16 package 1 since May 2018 as a Eiffage Génie Civil group sub-contractor on 2 stations (Stade de France and Saint-Denis Pleyel) and 2 diaphragm wall-based appurtenant structures, as well as handling conventional and jet grouting works.

As the 2024 Olympic Games draw nearer, Sefi-Intrafor has invested in additional resources to meet its deadlines (2 years of scheduled special foundations works) and manage the exceptional dimensions of some of the structures.

For this project, the company has even acquired a new machine - the SC-135 Tiger - to handle the very significant widths identified in the construction surveys (up to 1.80m, depth: 54m, i.e., a French first in terms of dimensions!).

The diaphragm walls of structure 3302, which will serve as the tunnel boring machine access shaft, are now finished!

On this project, the teams completed the preliminary filling (5,800lm of drilling and approx. 1,000m3 of grouting), before starting work on the diaphragm walls in July. The new Soilmec cutter was used to set up 22 panels (130lm).

On this same structure, jet grouting is still ongoing to build the TBM’s earth launch box (280 columns) and the cross-passage to the future Line 16 tunnel (183 columns).
